What is Crown and Bridge?
A dental crown is a tooth-shaped cap that is placed over a tooth to restore natural tooth function as well as improve teeth appearance.
A dental bridge is usually sculpted to imitate natural tooth enamel and is very useful in replacing a tooth or a few teeth that are not viable. Dental Bridges are typically used to fill in any gaps caused by a missing tooth or teeth. It is also known as the pontic, which is a custom made false tooth that is permanently filled in the gap area. In addition to restoring your ability to properly chew and speak, dental bridges can maintain the shape of your face, distribute the forces of your bite properly by replacing missing teeth as well as prevent your remaining teeth from drifting out of position.
